All reservations will require credit or debit card details to be provided so as to secure any booking made. The information required is the credit/debit card number, expiry date, name as it appears on the card and security number on the reverse.
We accept all major credit or debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and JCB but not American Express or Diners, although on departure you may wish to pay by cash.
Please note that from 1st October 2013 there will be an additional 2% surcharge incurred when using a Credit Card to settle your bill upon departure, this is purely to cover the bank's increased credit card processing fees. No charges will be incurred if a valid Debit Card or Cash is used in settlement.
For security and Data Protection reasons we now operate an on-line booking facility where these credit card details can be stored securely, reservations can also be made by telephone. Please note that we do not accept credit or debit card details via email to secure bookings.
Please note that any reservation with children under the age of 5 years can only be accepted by prior arrangement with Jim & Josie, Hunters Lodge.
Where possible if you could indicate your estimated time of arrival it will be much appreciated (See Check-In times below).

Cancellation Notification Policy
Reservations must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival date.
Should you need to cancel your reservation there will be no cancellation charge taken provided notice is given to us 48 hours prior to the arrival date. In case of a "no show" or a room cancelled giving us less than the 48 hours notice period then the full charge for the first night of your accommodation will be made from the credit card details provided to secure the original booking.
For example a room booked for arrival on a Friday would need to cancelled by the preceding Wednesday.
After arrival/check-in this policy equally applies to any subsequent amendment to the remainder of the reservation.
For example a room booked for arrival Monday and departure Friday (4 nights reservation ) and then cancellation for the Thursday night will need to cancelled by Tuesday for no charge to apply.
No Smoking Policy
To ensure both guests and staff own comfort and safety Hunters Lodge operates a strict non-smoking policy throughout the building (all public areas and all bedrooms) and we reserve the right to ask any guest that does not adhere to this policy to vacate Hunters Lodge immediately.
All bedrooms have their own fitted electronic smoke/fire detectors and sounders and all doors are to the latest fire standards.
This has been implemented so as to comply with the new Smokefree law introduced in the UK in 2007.

If you are arriving early, and your room is not quite ready, then you are most welcome to drop off your luggage and collect your key.
Unfortunately being a smaller family run establishment we do not operate a 24 hour reception desk and have set the latest check in time at 10:00pm so as not to inconvenience or disturb our other guests late at night.
Whilst our check-out time is 10:30 am, we appreciate that for those guests who are taking a cruise or catching a train/plane later in the day, this may leave with them some time to fill before their can depart. Guests may therefore wish to avail themselves of our bar and lounge area either storing their luggage here and going into Southampton for some last minute shopping or sightseeing or just relaxing.
